Tell Jonathan Hulley – what’s your view on South Western Railways proposals to shut some window ticket offices?
I am very concerned at the impact of South Western Railway proposals to shut some window ticket offices, including at Teddington Station where the company is proposing to have no staff on a Monday morning.
I have been running a consultation of my own on these proposals, and the responses in writing and on the doorstep to date have left me in no doubt that we must vigorously oppose these proposals.
According to South Western Railways consultation document they are making the proposed changes to: “include training more colleagues to become multi-skilled, with a clear focus on helping customers”.
But if they haven’t got anyone on duty how can they possibly help customers?
I will be making a detailed submission of my own but before doing so, I am very keen to hear more views of residents.
If you would like to write to me, please do so at [email protected] with your views.
NOTE: The public consultation has been extended to 1 September 203 and so there is still time to respond.
