Joe Broughton serves as the Association’s Events Officer, with responsibility for organising our programme of political and social events for members and supporters. His role is to help ensure that Twickenham Conservative Association has an active and varied calendar, bringing members together, encouraging wider involvement, and supporting the fundraising needed to mount effective local campaigns.
Born in Richmond and now living in Teddington, Joe is a strong supporter of the area’s independent businesses and local community life. He works as a data processing manager and programmer.
His interests include fitness, rugby, vintage buses and trains, aviation, Ordnance Survey maps, visiting pubs and restaurants, and socialising.
Joe joined the Conservative Party in 1988, aged 19, when Margaret Thatcher was Prime Minister, and has been helping the Party ever since. Since July 2023, he has served as Chairman of the Teddington and Hampton Wick Branch of Twickenham Conservative Association.
