The Boundary Commission for England (BCE) have published their report and have continued to recommend that Whitton Ward be moved into a new constituency of Brentford and Isleworth.

This recommendation is subject to final consultations which will end on December 5th 2022.

Your local Conservatives have been leading the fight to keep Whitton Ward in Twickenham constituency.

Our Conservative Council Group Leader, Geoffrey Samuel, writes "I have already submitted my brief objection.  It is based on my knowledge of the Constituency for over 80 years and is based on the fact that after the War the growing Whitton ward was divided in two with both sharing [and continuing to share] one station, one High Street, one Library, one Secondary School. There are alternatives which make more sense".

Our Conservative Parliamentary Spokesperson, Emma Ware, states "The Boundary Commission's proposals do not take into account the guidelines that 'local ties should not be broken' by effectively splitting Whitton in two. I would urge the Commission to look at the proposal's once again and review all options open to them, especially in regard to wards with historic ties to neighbouring constituencies."
