Jonathan Hulley, the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Twickenham, has been speaking with local business owners about the future of the high street as part of a new business survey by Twickenham Conservatives. Jonathan said: “I’m talking to business owners concerned about the future of the high street.” The survey is asking businesses directly about the challenges they face and what more can be done to support high streets and village centres across the constituency.
The questionnaire asks business owners for their views on key local issues, including the Richmond Card, whether there should be more free parking, policing, the future of Twickenham’s Business Improvement Districts, and concerns that parking difficulties are harming trade. Jonathan said, “Should we be looking at more free parking? They’ve raised concerns about policing. They’ve raised concerns about the future of the Twickenham BIDs. They’ve raised concerns about parking or the lack of it.”
Twickenham Conservatives said local high streets and village centres are central to the life of the constituency, supporting jobs, families and strong local communities. Jonathan added, “I’m interested in your views. My plan next is to take this business survey right across the constituency.” The Association said it is campaigning for a brighter future for businesses across the Twickenham constituency and recognises how much high streets and village centres matter to local residents.
