Jonathan Hulley, the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Twickenham, is campaigning against controversial proposals to close railway ticket offices serving the constituency.
The public consultation on proposals to close some window ticket offices has been extended to 1 September, giving residents more time to make their views known.
Jonathan has been speaking with residents at local stations, including Teddington, about their concerns over the loss of in-person ticket office services. Many passengers rely on staffed ticket offices for help with journeys, ticketing, accessibility needs and advice when services are disrupted.
Jonathan is also working alongside other local community campaigners who are concerned about the impact the closures could have on older residents, disabled passengers, vulnerable travellers and those who are less confident using online or machine-based ticketing.
Jonathan said he will be making his own submission to the consultation and is asking residents to share their views with him before the deadline.
