Jonathan Hulley, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Twickenham, was out campaigning in Hampton with Ron Machucho, the Conservative London Assembly Candidate for South West London.
The team spoke with residents on the doorstep about local concerns, including the proposed development at the Hampton Waterworks site, which has become a major issue for many people living nearby.
Jonathan said residents in Hampton wanted to know that their concerns were being heard and that local representatives were prepared to stand up for them.
He said: “It was great to be back in Hampton with Ron Machucho, speaking directly to residents about the issues that matter to them. One of the biggest concerns raised on the doorstep was the proposed development at the Waterworks site. Residents are understandably worried about the impact this could have locally, and they deserve representatives who will listen and make sure their voices are heard.”
Ron Machucho praised Jonathan’s active campaign across the Twickenham constituency, highlighting his regular doorstep campaigning, casework and local engagement.
Ron said: “Jonathan has been very active across Twickenham, holding mini-surgeries, taking up casework and speaking directly with residents. People want visible and practical representation, and Jonathan has shown that he is prepared to put in the work.”
The campaign visit also underlined the importance of strong Conservative representation across Hampton, Twickenham and South West London. Both Jonathan and Ron said residents deserved candidates who were visible, accessible and focused on practical local issues.
Jonathan added: “Ron has been a strong and energetic voice for South West London. He understands Hampton, he listens to residents, and he is determined to get things done. That is exactly the kind of representation local people need.”
